WHAT WE DO
We work with each client to determine a path to health based on each person's unique health goals. This empowers the client to determine their own health. We teach how herbs work with your body naturally moving toward better health and balance. Looking at your diet, we help you find how what you eat affects your health. Other areas of life: exercise, sleep, stress and social interactions are brought into the picture to help plan a path to better health and improved quality of life.
MEET THE HERBALIST
Sharon Walluk is the founder of Herbal Consultations, LLC. She trained in Western Herbalism as a clinical herbalist and health consultant since 2010. She earned a Masters of Science degree in Therapeutic Herbalism in 2016 and a supervised Clinical Certificate in 2017. She has lived in Alaska for over 40 years. She was fortunate to learn traditional medicines from Native Alaskan Elders and now works to blend that knowledge with her scientific based education. Sharon trained with herbalist Paul Bergner, founder of the Colorado School of Herbal Medicine in Boulder, Colorado and owner of the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism in Portland, Oregon. She traveled to Scotland in 2013 to study with the founders of the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine at their Herb Farm (Drimlabarra) on the Isle of Arran for a summer of apprenticeship and learning. Her goal is to work with you to improve your health through plant medicine and to discover with you the life style changes needed to improve your health. She is currently developing an herb garden for fresh organic herbs and as a teaching place where you can see, touch, taste and learn about the plants used to improve your health.
Sharon's perspective of health and wellness is to focus on assisting the body to heal itself as nature intended. Her focus is on health and wellness rather than on illness and symptoms. As with all things in nature, this is not a quick fix process. It will take time to restore health as the body works at its own pace. We will support and help you to succeed on this path to health.
